I was surprised by this anime from the beginning, one of the most mama mia openings I have seen, the adrenaline the masochism of "Hit me on the Ground" and the colored marbles that don't have anything to do with the story, made my sing in the bathroom.
Robot Benjamin Button
I will only talk about about what caught my attention, first the protagonist, I don't why is shown that he has aggressive thoughts now and then, his personality was of juvenile shonen main character, and it was perfect, the altruism and boldness of these cliche main characters, indeed is like an old man trying to be important to this world before he dies. It's common to old people do philanthropy afraid to be punished by some God and to be forgotten and impact-less to the World, but to the main character, it's a form keep being a human (one of the rare types of humans, the truly good ones, AKA boring ones).
Shōjo Guy That Cleared Dead Space 2 Hard Mode (Hand Cannon guy)
This character was interesting, and during the story, I saw the relationship of the Hiro and Oldguy very alike the main protagonist and antagonist of Breath of Fire 3. His reaction to the power, instead of being alive helping people he felt alive killing people, being a blogger, robot husbando and the most creative villain french mimic. What caught my attention about his character was his way of being important to the world as the other guy, being important to one special someone was what he craved for, first his mom later the Kuriboh Girl. Later he didn't care more about killing people, what he truly needed was someone to be with someone important to him, and like all animes, the military crushed his happy daily life with the Kuriboh Girl and her grandma(rice aficionado).
Kuriboh Girl
She really caught my attention because of her backstory, her parents died by cancer, and she thought she would soon die too, without goals to the future and with supposed eminent death, she gives all her attention and care to her grandma and serial killer robot shojo prince. I really liked their romance, she liked him and soon would die, he needed someone to be important to him (like his mother), it was a romance with a short lifespan, there wasn't a happy ever after, besides his powers of curing cancer that could afford that. Shen couldn't accept his ways of assuring a peaceful life Kira style, so the romance was more like a medieval fairy tale, and he was determined to destroy the japanese people and the animes aside One Piece, and she still mourned and prayed for his safety.
Other guys that I didn't care too much, but more than the rest:
Trump selling steaks
Yakuza hardcore ecchi fan
The only Gantz fan in the world
Katana Girl that can keep cool in the effect of drugs
For me the anime is worth 7,7 it has some cool new ideas, but the ending was like a hotdog made with loaf bread.
The best phrase to describe my personal view:
The best phrase to describe my personal view:
A romance better than the E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, where a Oldguy from a shonen universe is stuck in a seinen universe, and needs to fight a nihilist One Piece fan.
